San Diego Ambassadors
On September 23, Qualcomm and CONNECT hosted the “Tribute to San Diego Innovators” event that honored 10 public agencies, non-profit organizations and enterprises in the San Diego area for their creativity and innovation in the local wireless industry.
Selected from a diverse group of regional enterprises, these 10 innovative organizations have been inducted into the Qualcomm Ambassador Program, a partner recognition initiative designed to honor organizations that are pioneering new ways to deliver on the promise of advanced wireless technologies.
At the event, Paul Jacobs, Jeff Jacobs and CONNECT’s Duane Roth shared insights about the future of wireless technology. In addition, San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders spoke about the economic benefit the wireless industry has created for the community, and County Supervisor Ron Roberts shared his vision of creating a true regional communications system to allow emergency responders and dispatchers to communicate with one another during a major disaster.
Advancing the Wireless Industry
Each of the Ambassadors demonstrated exceptionally creative uses of mobile technologies and is pioneering new ways to deliver on the promise of 3G , extending the benefits of advanced wireless connectivity to people at work, home and play.
The Ambassadors are recognized for developing and implementing creative wireless solutions that are impacting a wide range of sectors including mobile entertainment, healthcare and public safety.
